| PeoplePassword v2.1 Released - Thursday, August 19, 2010
Pagosa Springs, CO - Web Active Directory is excited to announce the release of PeoplePassword v2.1
This release continues to improve upon Web AD's second generation self-service password reset solution released with v2.0 in May 2010 by streamlining the user experience and improving the Reports Center among a slew of other enhancements and bug fixes.
With PeoplePassword v2.1, customers can import enrollment data from external data stores into PeoplePassword to enable auto-enrollment for their users. Other enhancements include a customizable welcome page for users in the Enrollment and Recovery Centers, enhanced localization capabilities, Reports Center upgrades, and user experience tweaks to allow for easier Enrollment and Recovery Center navigation. Bug fixes in this release address issues with Windows® Server 2008 R2 compatibility, Reports Center performance, Enrollment Center data, and user experience during the enrollment and password reset operations.
PeoplePassword v2.1 is available as a free upgrade to all PeoplePassword v1.x and v2.0 customers that posses a current annual maintenance contract. | PeopleSearch and PeopleUpdate v3.4 Announced - Monday, September 21, 2009Web Active Directory is excited to announce the release of PeopleSearch and PeopleUpdate v3.4.
This release introduces page templates which will be used at all levels of the product in a future release. Also as part of this new model we have introduced global attributes and directory configurations. All of these changes will help simplify deployment and changes to page layouts.
This update is not mandatory for existing customers but will be available for those who wish to upgrade to the latest release. | PeopleSearch and PeopleUpdate v3.3 Released - Wednesday, December 31, 2008Web Active Directory is excited to announce the release of PeopleSearch and PeopleUpdate v3.3. Continuing a long history of product enhancements, this release provides our customers with important new security measures and increases our ability to service our largest customers with very complex environments. In addition, we were able to correct some smaller issues with our previous version (v3.2). These enhancements and fixes are mostly “behind the curtain” and should have minimal impact on your current environment and configuration. This release contains an important security enhancement that improves application performance when retrieving the authenticated user's information from Active Directory. This release also includes support for External Associated Accounts (EAA) to support Microsoft Exchange environments that employ Resource Forests. Supporting EAAs allows the solution to handle very large and complex Exchange environments that contain multiple forests and domains.
The other enhancements included with this release are:
· Allowing administrators to configure a custom status message when a bound object cannot be found in the directory
· Setting bind credentials and search parameters for retrieving authenticated user information from Active Directory
Web Active Directory addressed some smaller issues reported with the latest v3.2 release, including:
· Showing the wrong users in the Org Nav when a node is collapsed or expanded
· Incorrectly showing tabs with certain types of access control lists applied |
