Our Company
Founded in 2002 by a couple of wayward system engineers, we began our journey by creating a web-based company directory—our PeopleSearch solution—that grabs Active Directory® data and displays it as a phone book in our easy-to-use web application. We named the company Web Active Directory since we were "webifying" AD and felt the customized solution we created for the AD environment would be a really cool application that we could sell online and use to make a large fortune!
Nearly ten years later and just shy of a large (or even small) fortune, we've somehow ended up firmly positioned in the identity management marketplace with customers all over the world speaking more than 11 languages. We sometimes joke that we "backed" into this market because all we really wanted to do was develop really cool web applications that would make Active Directory easier to manage. Now we're an unintentional identity management player. Sheesh!
We are an engineering-driven company with expertise in Active Directory, identity management and infrastructure. We want to provide keen advice and share our experience with the system engineers and admins working in the IT trenches every day.
